“Innovative planning supports the creation of an iconic civic building”
The new Quinte Consolidated Courthouse provides over 160,000 sq.ft. of state-of-the-art facilities for the province of Ontario. It also supports the revitalization of downtown Belleville through the creation of an iconic civic building.
The new courthouse facility consolidates the Superior Court of Justice and Ontario Court of Justice, which were previously operating in four court locations: three in Belleville and one in Trenton. The new courthouse will provide court services to the Hastings County catchment area, and will accommodate 11 courtrooms and 5 conference settlement rooms. The new facility aims to achieve LEED Silver certification.
