“This master plan repositions an important institution as a leading health care campus in the city.”
Overlooking Massey Creek and the nearby Warden Woods area, Providence Healthcare has provided healthcare services in Toronto for over 140 years.
This master plan repositions an important institution as a leading health care campus in the city. Chronic care, rehabilitation, ambulatory care and research programs are accommodated in new and renovated facilities. Redevelopment began with a new state of the art 288 bed long-term care facility, the Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence. This work has been well recognized with many significant awards, including the 1997 Canadian Architect Award of Merit, the 2000 City of Toronto Urban Design Award, as well as the 2001 National Post/Design Exchange Gold Award.
