St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Redevelopment reaches a major milestone

The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Redevelopment project has reached a major milestone.  Infrastructure Ontario and the Hospital have released a request for proposal to companies shortlisted to build and finance the hospital’s Emergency, Ambulatory and Mental Health Redevelopment Project.

As design architects, Montgomery Sisam and Kahler Slater are happy to have contributed to the development of this very important project.  The redevelopment will result in a 106,000 sf, three-storey addition that will house a new emergency department, surgical suite, sterile processing department, acute mental health unit and ambulatory services.

The release of the RFP brings the Hospital one step closer to realizing its vision of providing better patient-care experiences.
