The Credit Valley Conservation Authority Head Office building is now complete

Our new addition to the Credit Valley Conservation Authority head offices provides space for 200 employees as well as a new lab for water purity monitoring.  The design employs many passive energy strategies in order to achieve the client's sustainable goals including:

  • A narrow footprint allowing for natural light and ventilation
  • Limited glazing on the East and West facades to reduce heat gain
  • South facing windows that are well protected by a wooden trellis to limit heat gain and provide shade

Targeting LEED Gold certification, the building will have a projected 67% energy cost savings and a 63% energy savings compared to the Model National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings.
